INTRODUCTION
The Goan Associations are found in every continent and the establishment of the DOHA GOANS SPORTS CLUB in Doha, Qatar is a sequel to the others.
BIRTH OF DOHA GOANS SPORTS CLUB
To break away from the shackles of sheer hard work, the Doha Goan on this desert land was looking for an oasis to quench his thirst for football a game, which is very dear to the hearts of every Goan. Next step lead to the formation of two teams to participate in the 1984 - Expatriate Football League. Due to restrictions at that time, our teams could not participate in the name of Doha Goans but used the sponsorís name: AIR INDIA WANDERERS AND COLTS. Both the teams secured the 3rd and 4th place amongst the 12 participating teams. It was this first kick-off that conceived the idea to form a Club. The long cherished dream of every Goan on the land became a reality when DOHA GOANS SPORTS CLUB was born in July 1985 with just 30 members. Slowly and steadily, our club gained a large membership.
Over the years, the Presidents changed and the activities expanded from football to other sports and social programmes to bring our Goan families together from time to time.Starting with 1st May Queen Ball in 1991.
Keeping the Goan brethren and the entire Konkani speaking community, animated, enthusiastic and this continued till November 2003. Thereafter no such activities toke place functions were commercialized for self interest as result young generation also were fedup. This forced to revive the prestigious DGSC on 9th July 2010.

· Konkani Drama ( Soglleank Nomoskar)
· Goa Day
· Saint Francisco Xavier Feast Dinner
· Inter Village tournament
· Annual Day Dine and Dance
